Certified Strategic Planner
Lean Methods Group certifications are designed to build the core strategic planning and facilitation skills-sets needed for anyone working in a strategic planning or strategy execution role. Learning how to apply the tools as well as the theory, the certification courses teach a highly disciplined and structured approach to strategic planning.
Open to students who have already achieved Level 1 Certification, Level 2 Strategic Planning will develop their strategy and facilitation skills beyond the Hoshin Planning discipline. They will learn how to combat some of the most common challenges with strategy execution, understand the role of strategy in strategic planning, and learn how to create a more robust strategic plan. Key approaches will include: the Assumption to Knowledge ratio, Strategic Benchmarking, Strategy Development, Portfolio theory, the Balanced Scorecard and core Problem Solving techniques.
After completing this course participants will be able to:
- Manage annual 3-5 year and annual strategy cycles at different levels of the organization
- Drive more effective strategy development
- Use problem solving and innovation techniques to help deliver on the strategy plan
- More effectively manage change within the strategy cycle
