Collaboration is at the heart of everything the Lean Methods Group does and it is one of the reasons we are so methodical in our work.
Consultants (we actually hate being called consultants, but c'est la vie) without well-defined methodologies are merely hired hands, black boxes, or "a bunch of smart folks". We employ strict methodologies because they are proven, reliable, and perhaps most importantly, teachable. Without a methodology, it is not generally possible for consultant and client to truly collaborate. The word "collaboration" is grossly overused today, like the word "synergy" was a decade ago. It's regarded as hype and marketing speak. That's not the case, however, when you work with us.
At the Lean Methods Group, we study the science of collaboration. We employ Lean methods that are designed to maximize collaboration. And we are constantly experimenting with collaborative techniques and technology tools.
Our clients benefit from serious collaboration in many ways. Most importantly, they are much more likely to take pride in the solutions that we develop together and as a result, the acceptance of change comes much more easily. By taking part in the development of solutions, the background and reasons why some solutions were chosen over others is engrained in the "corporate knowledge base". Through the process, they are learning about the business, hence becoming better equipped to make future decisions. Finally, by actually participating in the use of our many lean methods, our clients are learning to use these methods themselves.
The value of real collaboration cannot be overstated. It improves the results we deliver today and that you sustain well into the future.
